The original fireplace in the great room was a dominating presence, both visually and spatially. While it was a beautiful feature, it overshadowed the room and dictated the flow of the space in a way that limited our design choices.
Moving the fireplace was a significant decision, requiring structural changes and a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve. It wasn’t just about moving a piece of architecture; it was about redefining the room’s entire character.
The relocated fireplace now serves as a balanced focal point, allowing the great room to breathe and flow naturally. It’s a change that has transformed not just the room, but how we live in it.
